Welcome to World of Woodcraft, the ultimate destination for all things wood! We’re a team of passionate woodworkers who are dedicated to bringing the beauty of wood to the world.
Our love for wood began at a young age, when we would spend hours building forts and treehouses in the woods. As we grew older, our passion for woodworking only grew stronger. We started with simple projects like birdhouses and picture frames, and before we knew it, we were building custom furniture pieces and even entire homes!
We believe that woodworking is not just a hobby, but a way of life. It’s a way to connect with nature and create something beautiful and unique with your own two hands. And let’s be honest, there’s something incredibly satisfying about the smell of sawdust and the sound of a saw cutting through wood.
At World of Woodcraft, we’re dedicated to sharing our knowledge and expertise with the world. Whether you’re a seasoned woodworker or just starting out, we have something for everyone. From tutorials on how to build a wooden chair to tips on how to properly care for your tools, we’ve got you covered.
So come join us in the world of woodcraft! We promise you won’t regret it. And who knows, you might just discover your new favorite hobby.
Who’s in Charge Around Here?
World of Woodcraft has been developed to help people find the very best power tools on the market, it will cut through the jargon and help explain the fundamentals of each power tool.
Run by me, Kelly, with help from my partner John.
John performs deep research on power tools and writes and formats the articles, I work as the webmaster keeping the site running smoothly and creating the site design work and the marketing.
Kelly Moore – Editor
I am a keen webmaster and graphic designer, I have experience running online retail businesses and enjoy working on the technical side of World of Woodcraft.
I started World of Woodcraft and it is my baby. I also love DIY and home decor and can often be found at home working on one of my DIY projects like building a shed or replacing the fence.
You will see John’s name at the bottom of every article as he has the experience to write about power tools with his massive head… I mean experience in working with them on a daily basis so I get him to write for free which is a great deal… for me.
I am the unseen hero of the site working away in the background keeping it all running nicely and making sure the quality is kept to a high standard.
I am a qualified sparky (electrician) who has been in the industry for 20+ years and before going to college to obtain my qualifications in electrical installations I was a joiner’s mate, a plumbers assistant, a semi-skilled pipefitters mate, a building site laborer, a semi-skilled welders mate and I even spent 3 years operating 100 ton mobile cranes on the docks.
So I have used pretty much every power tool you can think of. In my time spent in these trades, I learned how to use power tools the correct way and the difference between a quality power tool and a poor one.
I also picked up a lot of knowledge on the features of power tools that can make tasks easier and which brands are high quality and up to the work and which ones have reliability issues.
I will use all my experience to help you pick the very best power tool for the work you need it for and also help people who are on a tight budget to find a power tool that won’t give up the fight after a few uses and will be capable of completing the work it was purchased to do.
You will not be left with buyers remorse if you follow my guides because I spend a lot of time digging deep into each product and even test them myself whenever possible.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have on power tools and I will get back to you as soon as I can normally the same day.
